CVB COMPLIANCE
CONCUSSION SAFETY AWARENESS
To ensure student-athletes and parents/guardians are well informed about the risks and injurious nature associated with competitive cheerleading, especially performances involving stunting and tumbling, CVB requires each student-athlete and their parent or guardian to complete concussion training. Students must review and or watch the resources provided and have a parent or guardian attest to their completion by signing the concussion training form provided below.
MANDATORY FIRST AID/CPR/AED TRAINING
To ensure we are educated and well-equipped to recognize and care for emergencies that might occur during practices, events, competitions, and other related CheerVersity or industry-sponsored functions, every CVB staff member or volunteer is required to complete a mandatory First AID/CPR/AED course. Click on the image below to view the American Red Cross website to identify training opportunities, register, and complete a course. Certification must be met before CheerVersity's official season commences.
BACKGROUND SCREENINGS
In the interest of establishing and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for our student-athletes and protecting the interests of the organization, staff members must complete a background check with NCSI . Click on the image below, choose the "Youth Sports" option, and complete the steps to order your background check. This option will provide one (1) annual recheck. Therefore, staff members must complete a background check every two (2) years. Staff must complete the background before CheerVersity's season commences.
COVID-19 RESPONSE & GUIDELINES
In response to Covid-19, the new variants, Delta and Omicron, CheerVersity will follow the guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). To ensure our staff and student-athletes have the most up-to-date information and can do their part by not contributing to the spread, we encourage you to click on the image below and become educated about things you can do to help keep yourself safe and healthy, and those around you. Stay tuned for more information and updates!
